Over the business in chemical logistics for more than half a century, we have accumulated our unique know-how and technologies for improving logistics quality and safety & quality assurance (QA) by our Gemba-ryoku (Fundamental organization capability) gained through overland transportation and marine transportation business, which are our core businesses. At the same time we have enhanced our logistics functions by operating tank yards for hazardous chemicals, providing both coastal and ocean-going transport with a fleet of chemical tankers and fulfilling a function of in-house customs clearance specialist for our customers throughout the country in Japan. Further, our local subsidiaries in Asian countries have made our business develop and grow to be one of the few unique logistics companies that can truly provide total logistics services both in and out of Japan.
Recently we merged with Dia Packaging Materials Co., Ltd in April 2015 and integrated their expertise in packaging materials to our comprehensive logistics functions. As a result, Mitsubishi Chemical Logistics can now cover every step in the supply chain to offer even more comprehensive logistics solutions from supplying of raw materials, in-house operations, storage, shipping to delivery. It also enables us to add much stronger practical performance and higher.
In addition, we will play an important and critical role of logistics sector in Mitsubishi Chemical Holding Group carrying the “3 G” of “Genba-ryoku”, “Group”and “Global” as key measures in our five-year mid-term management plan called “MCLC APTSIS 20″, which has started in April 2016. Our company is aiming to be Japan’s top logistics company in chemical products trusted by every stakeholders by contributing to the chemical industry as a whole through creation of “KAITEKI Logistics” with developing logistic infrastructures in respond to changes in the logistics environment.
