PT. Fumira is the largest producer and supplier of galvanized steel sheeting for domestic and international markets in Indonesia. The company was founded as a merge of three powerful strengths, Nippon Steel Corp, Mitsui Co.Ltd, and Ragam Logam (a subsidiary of Argo Manunggal Group). The company’s mission is to provide high quality products and be the leader in contributing the best idea in order to develop many industries in Indonesia.
More than 30 years after its establishment, the company has become stronger and always innovating to deal with the transformation. Established in 1970, its original factory is located in Semarang, Central Java, producing high quality product of corrugated iron sheets called the Moon Elephant.
Then in 1997 the company built its second factory in West Cikarang, Bekasi. It is the first and the only one galvanized steel factory in Indonesia using Continuous Hot Dip Galvanized Line (CGL) with Non-Oxidizing Furnace (NOF) system, the latest technology in steel production developed by Nippon steel Corporation, Japan.
