Who We Are
- “Comprehensive manufacturer of plain bearings” engaged in the manufacture and sale of a wide variety of bearings for automobiles, marine engines, construction machinery and bearings for general industrial use.
- Daido Metal has a global production and sales network in the Five-hub System of Japan, North America, Europe, Asia and China.
- Daido Metal is an independent company and delivering its products globally to a diverse customer base across many sectors.
- Daido Metal is the largest manufacturer in the world for several types of bearings including a share of over 30% for automobile engine bearings and share of 59% for large ship engine bearings (according to the in-house estimation of CY2014).
- Daido Metal also boasts an overwhelming domestic share of bearings used in trucks, construction machinery, agricultural machinery and motorcycles, as well as bearings in automobile parts such as turbochargers and shock absorbers.
- In particular, our lead-free bearing products have received high marks from the market and have been increasingly adopted by European automobile manufacturers. In addition, bearings used in turbines for electric power generation have received a favorable reputation from customers for superior durability and longevity.
