YACHIYO ENGINEERING CO.

Yachiyo Engineering Co. Ltd (YEC) is a general construction consultant based in Tokyo. The company was founded in 1963 and is now one of the largest firms of consulting engineers, planners, architects and specialists operating throughout the world.

To date, the company has actively involved in numerous and diverse projects not only in Japan but also in about 110 countries around the globe. It offers services in every phase of project development from planning and feasibility study through preliminary and detailed design to construction supervision, operation training and procurement services. In order to enhance the efficiency of its worldwide operations, the company established overseas offices in countries such as Indonesia, Myanmar, India, Egypt, Nigeria, Brazil and Korea. Each office operates as a strong local center, providing close client communication in addition to design services.

The Indonesia-Jakarta office was established in 1977. Ever since its establishment, YEC Jakarta has provided a wide range of consulting services for customers including JICA, ADB, and Indonesian government organizations, such as the Ministry of Public Works and Housing of Indonesia. It has been involved in a wide range of projects, including projects for disaster prevention, transportation, sewage systems, architecture, waste management, high-speed railway services, and public–private partnerships (PPP). The office will continue to work as one of the key overseas bases of YEC.
