JFE Steel Started the Operation of Continuous Galvanizing Line for Automobile in Indonesia

PT. JFE Steel Galvanizing Indonesia (JSGI) is a subsidiary of JFE Steel Corporation. On 12 January 2016, JFE Steel Corporation announced that JSGI has begun operating a new continuous galvanizing line (CGL), to produce cold rolled and hot dip galvanized steel sheet for automobiles in MM2100 Industrial Town Estate in Bekasi, Indonesia. Based on the set schedule, this line will officialy be operating on March 2016, but earlier on January, JSGI got approvals to conduct test production.

The new line for cold rolled and hot dip production has a capacity of 400.000 tons per year.  This line is expected to meet the growing demand in galvanized steel sheet. This new line is JFE Steel’s third CGL for automotive products in Asia, following China and Thailand.
